Buy a Brick to Build a Future

In January 2010 design work begins for the Chilomoni Children’s Centre. This is not just a building; it is the promise of a healthier and happier start in life for hundreds of children in Malawi. We need your help, please donate today to buy environmentally friendly hydra-form bricks to build this centre, just £15 will buy 100 bricks and help to change a child’s life forever.


This centre will be a special place where children can be cared for, begin their learning, be healthy and safe. We also hope to support parents and whole families so that they can provide the best possible start in life for their children. Any amount will help us to achieve our vision for a fun and stimulating environment which is so important in Malawi where so many children are not healthy enough to reach their fifth birthday.

In January 2010 we are re-launching our appeal for sewing machines. The demand for places on Beehive tailoring courses is growing, when trainees finish their training their sewing machine means they can earn an income for life. For many, it’s the first opportunity they have had to earn money to look after their families.

In 2008 we appealed for donations of sewing machines and we sent an astonishing 311 machines in our first ever container, but stocks of machines are now running low. If you have an unused electric or manual sewing machine and you want to support this effective project please call 0845 003 6004 to find out where your closest collection point is.
